Education minister felicitates Cadila Pharma’s COVID warriors

31st May 2021 Ahmedabad: State education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama visited the Cadila Pharmaceuticals plant at Dholka in Ahmedabad district and felicitated the COVID Warriors for their service at the COVID care centre at Dholka.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals, along with the Indian Red Cross Society, Dholka, Mangal Mandir Manav Seva Parivaar, Bagodara, Dholka Seva Parivaar, and Faraj Trust, had set up the free COVID care centre at Dholka with medicine and oxygen support.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals also provided (free of cost to the centre) 600 doses of Sepsivac, an immunomodulator found to show success in some COVID treatment cases. More than 1,100 COVID patients have received treatment at the COVID care centre, while 150 patients have received in-house treatment so far.

The minister felicitated all the medical staff and other supporting members who provided their services at the centre. Speaking on the occasion, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama lauded Cadila Pharmaceuticals and other associated organizations involved with the COVID care centre for their services. He, however, appealed to everyone to remain on the guard because of warnings of a potential third wave of COVID and to ensure all precautions are taken. He also exuded confidence that Cadila Pharmaceuticals would continue to lend its support to fight against COVID and other illnesses in the future.

Attendance was restricted at the felicitation event, and all COVID guidelines such as social distancing and the use of face masks were adhered to.
