“The growth of the healthcare industry relies solely on value-driven and patient-centric partnership. India is currently a leader in generics and enjoys an important position in the global pharmaceuticals sector. With concentrated focus on novel therapies, vaccines, and chronic cures, we can address the unmet medical needs. The country’s talent pool of scientists, researchers, scholars and engineers have the potential to dictate the future of medical innovation. The government has also waved a green flag on the industry’s growth with the introduction of the National Health Protection Scheme and Pharma Vision 2020 thus democratizing quality healthcare and projecting India as a wellness manufacturing hub of the world,” said Dr Rajiv I Modi, Chairman & MD, Cadila.

The summit is a step towards a greater understanding of the forces that are shaping our world, the challenges that need global policy attention, and the responses that are required to manage changes effectively.
