The New Year has brought along with it new hopes. We have made it through a dark period in history, but there are brighter days ahead in 2021. With vaccines being rolled out, we are all waking up to our dreams of better tomorrow.
January for us at Cadila has been the harbinger of our work towards a brighter future. With global giving on the rise, we started the year with increased momentum towards our CSR activities. GM, CSR, Urmila Joshi, spoke about the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility and the importance of having a mindset and agility to think creatively and meaningfully. We continued our work towards the sustainability development goals. Our CSR team in association with Dholka Taluka police conducted a tree plantation drive and planted around 400 different samplings in Ahmedabad.
Like young saplings, we believe in nurturing our young leaders of tomorrow. Cadila Young Leadership Program (CYLP) is a program we are all extremely proud of at Cadila where we hone the skills of our new leaders. Shipra Suresh Kumar, from CYLP 2017 shares her exciting journey of heading two major regions in the API business while juggling motherhood and her passion for singing. Shipra, the past year saw women across the globe displaying immense skills of multitasking. Leading psychiatrist Dr Khyati Mehtalia shared tips on how women can take care of their mental health during the pandemic, in our latest episode of Wake Up to Health Talks.
The unprecedented nature of the current pandemic has prompted a shift in healthcare systems. With India riding on the wave of accelerated digitalisation, we spoke to our Chief Mentoring Officer, Mr Biswajit Mitra about the importance of a successful implementation of the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM).
