26/11 is a date that is etched in the memories of all Indians as Mumbai faced one of its most gruesome terrorist attack. More than 10 years later, we honour the martyrs of this attack by celebrating the strength stories of Indians.

This year we are facing a crisis not seen before. With the world staying indoors, the COVID warriors step out everyday to serve the country. Their journey and stories are a source of inspiration and this year, we celebrate the COVID warriors across the country.

Message from Dr Rajiv Modi

Today, as we honor the heroes of the fateful day of 26/11, who laid down their lives protecting their countrymen, let’s also pay respect to the thousands of COVID frontline warriors who are working day in and day out to take care of each one of us. Let’s salute the medical researchers who are working harder than ever so that we can come out of this pandemic stronger and healthier.

This pandemic has brought us closer together in this fight as a nation. Our honorable PM, Shri Narendra Modi said in one of his speeches, “although the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted several things but it has not impacted the aspirations and ambitions of 1.3 billion Indians”. We are one of the brightest, more resilient countries of the world. And the strength stories of our COVID warriors is an example of that.

Cadila Pharma is proud to be associated with Indian Express for this noble initiative to recognize the heroes of 26/11 and laude the efforts of COVID-19 warriors. We hope these stories will act as a source of inspiration for all of us to be braver and more courageous. During the current scenario, even if the battle looks tough, we truly ‘shall overcome’.
