Dr Rajiv Modi’s address at the IIT Guwahati Convocation Ceremony, 2017

Dr. Rajiv I. Modi, Chairman and Managing Director, Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and in Board of Governors, IIT Guwahati, addresses the graduating students at the 19th Convocation of IIT Guwahati, held on 23 June 2017. Dr Modi, who heads the multinational Indian drug company Cadila Pharmaceuticals feels an immense sense of pride and happiness in the achievements of the young graduates ready to take up challenges in building a better world. As they embark on a new era of their lives, Dr Rajiv Modi reminds them to be ready to work hard and take on the responsibilities as citizens of India. “It is a sense of great pride for all of us youngsters as we develop and participate in evolving this great country of ours.” He also praises the dedication of parents in supporting their children achieve their dreams. He goes on to applaud the efforts of the Dean and the faculty of IIT Guwahati , in providing the best possible educational support, amenities and a conducive environment for honing the budding minds of future India. Dr Modi wishes the students all the very best for their future endeavours. “There will be a lot of challenges in life, but do not be afraid. Be confident and remember you are wonderful.”
