Dexamethasone

Dexamethasone is a type of corticosteroid medication and has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant effects. It is widely used in Rheumatic disorders, acute respiratory disorders, skin related disorders, etc. The human body, when it suffers from any infections, releases substances to fight against infections. These substances harm the body causing inflammation. To fight its effects, Dexamethasone is used. It may be taken by mouth, as an injection into a muscle, or intravenously.
