Adults : Gastric ulcer : 20 mg once daily for 8 weeks,
in severe cases increase to 40 mg once daily. Reflux oesophagitis :
20 mg once daily for 4 weeks. Zollinger Ellison Syndrome : 60 mg once
daily. Maintenance therapy 20-120 mg adjusted to response, dose over
80 mg daily should be divided in 2 doses. Children : not recommended |

Adults : Meningitis : 4 gm I.V. initially followed
by 2 gm I.V. once daily for 10 days or 72 hours after abates. Typhoid
: 4 gm daily for 2 days followed by 2 gm daily for 2 days. Children
: Meningitis : 75-100 mg/kg body wt. For 7-9 days Typhoid : 75 mg/kg
body wt. for 7 days. Other conditions : 50-75 mg/kg body wt. daily.
